A simple 4-ingredient recipe that can be made in less than 30 minutes, all depending on how quickly you can chop up a crab. If you're like me and still a newb, it might take a little longer. This dish is super flavorful. The egg doesn't require any seasoning, as the flavors from the crab soak into the steamed egg.

Ingredients

1 Dungeness crab

2 eggs

1 tbsp olive oil

Water

Instructions

  1. Start by washing the crab with cold water

  2. Right before you’re ready to cook, chop your crab into large pieces, separating the legs from the body.

  3. Prepare a steamer and bring your water to a boil.

  4. Crack 2 eggs in a mixing bowl. Add equal parts water (so 1 cup of eggs = 1 cup of water) Add 1 tbsp of olive oil.

  5. Arrange your crab into a deep dish, with the inside of the body facing up (so you can pour the egg mixture in side like a crab bowl)

  6. Place the dish into the steamer pot and cook for 12-13 minutes. Crab should be a nice reddish/orange color and your egg should be cooked.
